Online Licence
We have obtained a Limited Online Exploitation Licence from the Performing Rights Society for music artists. This means there are no copyright issues with any of the music being used in the project.
Eurodance 2010! Video Blog
A blog has been created for the final competition entries. It can be found at http://eurodance2010videos.blogspot.com/ This will allow schools to watch all of the final entries more easily.
Please post your videos as normal to this blog and they will be transferred for you :)
Project Overview
The project will begin on Monday 15th of March 2010. Each school should introduce themselves to the other contestants by posting details of their school/class on the blog by Friday 26th March 2010. This could be a short video, picture or information typed into the blog. They should also include details of their chosen dance.
Each school should then practise their dance and film their final performance. This video should be posted to the blog by Friday 21st May 2010.
All schools should then watch the completed performances and score each school out of 10 except their own. Please publish your results either by video or text on the blog by Friday 28th May 2010. The scores will be added together and the winner posted on the blog by Monday 31st May 2010.
The winning school will be rewarded with a trophy! All schools will receive a certificate for taking part. Good luck to all schools taking part!

1. A maximum of 2 schools from each eTwinning country can join the project.
2. If you have music on any of your posts to the blog it is your responsibility to ensure that you have obtained the correct permissions to use this.
3. Please do not start to score the dances until all of the final videos have been posted to the blog. A separate voting page will be added for you to post your scores on.

First Elementary School of Xylofagou - Cyprus
Hello. We are the “First Elementary School of Xylofagou”. Our School is located in Xylofagou – a village- near Larnaca and Ayia Napa. Our school consists of 12 classes, 240 children and 20 teachers. Our school is part of ECO schools and the European program Comenius. This year, for the first time ever, we have children from European countries, such as England, Holland , Poland and Bulgaria. Athersley South Primary School - England
Hello, we are Athersley South Primary School. Our school is located in Barnsley in the North of England, in between Sheffield and Leeds. Our school has around 320 pupils on role aged 3 -11. The children of Year 4 will be taking part in this project. We are really excited about learning our about own cultural dance orgins and routine within our Physical Education lessons and seeing the dances from around Europe performed by our partner schools.
Plymouth Grove Primary School - England
Plymouth Grove is a large Primary School in the Longsight area of Manchester. We have lots of different cultures in our school so we had lots of traditional dances to choose from, but for the Eurodance project we thought we would learn a traditional English Morris dance, as none of us had done any before! 2S is the class taking part. Collège des trois vallées Vergt - France
Our secondary school is in Vergt, a small village in the south-west of France. It is not very big (around 360 pupils and 20 teachers) with 4 classes in each year. In our class, 4C (3rd year) there are 14 girls and 5 boys. It is a media class and we work on making newspapers (only for school), and preparing projects on the radio. We have been learning English for 3 years and Spanish for 1 year. 8 of us are really willing to have contacts with other pupils in different countries.
Scoil Pádraig Naofa - Ireland
Scoil Pádraig Naofa is a small 2 teacher school in Co. Westmeath, Ireland. It is an inland county known as the lake county in the midlands of Ireland. Our school is about 1 mile from Lough Ennell. We are also in an area steeped in Celtic History, with the 'Hill of Uisneach' (the ancient seat of the High Kings of Ireland) and 'Cró Inis' (crannóg) and Dún na Sciath along the banks of Lough Ennell all in our Parish.
Istituto Comprensivo Socrate - Italy
Istituto Comprensivo Socrate is a middle school situated in Marano of Naples, South of Italy. In our school there are 36 classes and about 900 students aged between 10 and 14 , and the class 1H will be taking part in Eurodance 2010 with a traditional dance called “Tarantella”.
Istituto Statale “E. Montale” - Italy
The Istituto Statale “E. Montale” is a state secondary school which has four different types of courses for high school students between the ages of fourteen and nineteen. Each Liceo Linguistico-Turistico is a humanities course which gives emphasis to the study of modern languages. Students study a choice of three European languages and learn about the lives and culture of their European peers, they also study tourism, in particular regarding the supply and demand of tourism in Tuscany and the Valdera (the countryside around Pontedera). Children go to school from Monday to Saturday from 7.50 a.m to 12.50 p.m. Students in our school participate in cultural exchanges or study trips with their European counterparts, LLP programmes and work placement projects depending on the course followed.
Madona Secondary School No.1 - Latvia
Madona is a small town in the centre of Latvia. Our school is quite big and its history longs for a hundred year. There are about 890 students aged between7-19 years, 300 of them are primary school children. Form 4b is ready to take part in Eurodance 2010 and show the Latvian dances.

Hello, we are Gedminai main school. Our school is located in Klaipeda, on the west coast of Lithuania. Klaipėda Gedminai main school was established in 1974. Our school is rather big. There are 956 students and more than 80 teachers. The school is active and well known for its activities of Tolerance Education Centre, Ethnoculture centre and also after school activities. Our school is always open for innovations and takes part in the Education Improvement and Renovation Projects. We are from Lithuania which lies on the East coast of the Baltic sea. We live in the harbour Klaipeda. Our school is named Vyturys which means a bird "skylark".
Spetalen Skole - Norway
Spetalen School, is situated by the South East part of the Oslo fjord. We have 308 students, divided on 14 classes, and 24 teachers all together. The school has been involved in various national and international projects and networks such as Comenius, ENIS and eTwinning, since our first Comenius project in 1995.
John Paul II High School - Poland
Hello! We are John Paul II High School in Daleszyce, Poland. Our school is situated close to the Holy Cross Mountains, which are said to be the oldest in Europe. Our school building is very nice and big. There are about 400 students. They are 13-16 years old. The students live in Daleszyce and the villages situated around the town. Hello, we are Primary School No 32 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. Bielsko and Biała, two former cities on opposite banks of the Biała River joined together in 1951. Town rights: 1312 - Bielsko; 1723 - Biała. Our school is situated in the district of Bielsko-Biała called Wapienica, at the foot Beskidy Mountains. The Ecological Park in Wapienica Valley(Louisa Valley) is one of the most beautiful areas in town. Our school was established 87 years ago. Special School No. 7 - Romania
Our school is an educational institution for students with mental disabilities. It is located in Bucharest, the Romanian capital. Our school has 129 students with special needs (with intellectual disabilities, language disorders , with autism and related disabilities). Some of these students are at risk of social exclusion: children from broken families and poor economic status, young gypsies, children coming from disadvantaged social backgrounds, children from orphanages.

Hello, we are the CEIP "8 DE ABRIL". Our school is located in San Antonio de Benagéber. It's a small village just outside of Valencia on the East Coast of Spain. Our school has around 420 pupils aged 3 -12. The children of 6th class will be taking part in this project. Our school is located in Afyonkarahisar in the Agean Region of Turkey. Hello! We are Toplu Konut Elementary School. Our school is located in the centre of Diyarbakır in the North Eastern part of Turkey. Our school consists of 47 classes, 1300 students and 59 teachers.
